Automatically collected data

When you visit the site, our analytics provider (PostHog) collects standard web analytics data: pages visited, approximate geographic region (country and state level), device type, browser type, and session duration. This data is used in aggregate and is not linked to any form submission unless you have submitted a form in the same session. We do not use advertising tracking pixels or sell behavioral data to advertisers.

2. How we use your information

We use the information you submit exclusively to operate the Amerance recruiting and placement service:

  • Agencies: To contact you about your agent request, present candidate options that match your requirements, and communicate about placement arrangements.
  • Agents: To evaluate your credentials against agency requirements, verify the information you provided (license status, AHIP, release), and present your profile to agencies that have requested candidates with your qualifications. We will contact you if there is a potential match.
  • All inquiries: To respond to your question or request in a timely and relevant way.
  • Analytics: To understand how visitors use the site and improve it over time. Analytics data is not used to identify individual visitors.

We do not use your information for advertising, retargeting, or marketing unrelated to the Amerance service. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to any third party for their own commercial purposes.

3. Who we share information with

We share your information only in the ways necessary to operate the service:

Between agencies and agents (core service)

The purpose of the service is to connect agencies with agents. If you are an agent applicant, relevant details about your credentials and availability may be shared with agency clients who are actively seeking candidates matching your profile. If you are an agency, your general requirements (states, volume, product lines) may be shared with agent candidates we are considering presenting to you. Personally identifying contact details are not shared between parties without prior discussion.

Service providers

We use a small number of third-party services to operate the site. These providers access data only to perform services on our behalf and are not authorized to use it for any other purpose:

  • Email delivery: Form submissions are delivered to us via email using Gmail (Google). Submitted data passes through Google's infrastructure.
  • Analytics: PostHog (posthog.com) — session and page analytics. PostHog processes data in the United States.
  • Electronic signatures: DocuSign — used for placement agreement signing. Placement agreement data passes through DocuSign's infrastructure when agreements are executed.

Legal requirements

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, court order, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Amerance, our clients, or others.

4. Data retention

We retain agency request and agent application data for as long as it is relevant to active or potential placements, or as required by applicable law, whichever is longer. Agent credential information is periodically reviewed and updated or removed as agents move in and out of active availability. If you would like your information removed from our records, contact us at jeff@amerancehealth.com and we will honor your request within a reasonable time.

5. Security

Form submissions are transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Email delivery uses authenticated SMTP with TLS. We take reasonable precautions to protect the information you submit, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. Do not submit information you would not be comfortable transmitting by email.

6. California residents — CCPA rights

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • Right to know: You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to delete: You may request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to opt out of sale: We do not sell personal information. No opt-out is required.
  • Right to non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise these rights, contact us at jeff@amerancehealth.com. We will respond within 45 days of receiving a verifiable request.

7. Children

This site is intended for business use by licensed insurance professionals and agency operators. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

8. Third-party links

Pages on this site may contain links to third-party websites (carrier sites, NIPR, AHIP, etc.). This privacy policy applies only to amerancehealth.com. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any external site.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of the page.
