Term life telesales
Phone-based term life sales — inbound leads or self-worked lists. Multi-state license required. Best for high-volume, consultative phone sellers.
Whole life & IUL
Permanent and indexed universal life sales — longer sales cycle, higher average premium. Suited for agents who enjoy financial planning conversations.
Final expense — field
Door-to-door and home visits with seniors. Territory-based, direct-mail leads, face-to-face closing. Strong income potential with consistent activity.
Final expense — phone
Phone-based FE telesales from home. Warm leads or live transfers. Multiple-state license required. Fastest-growing segment in final expense.
1099 independent
Keep your own carrier contracts, own your book of business, and set your own hours. Best for experienced agents who want maximum autonomy.
Life + health
Cross-product roles for dual-licensed agents — write life alongside ACA, Medicare Supplement, or ancillary products for more income per client.
We verify you before any agency sees your profile.
Life license verified
Active state life insurance license confirmed through NIPR — not self-reported. Health license confirmed if dual-licensed.

Life insurance sales job questions
Do I need a license before applying for life insurance sales jobs?
Yes — an active state life insurance license is required. If you're pre-licensing, you can start the application process but we can't present your profile to agencies until your license is active. We can point you toward licensing resources if needed.
What's the difference between captive and independent life insurance sales jobs?
Captive agents represent one carrier and typically receive more training support and sometimes a salary or draw against commission, but earn lower commission rates and don't own their book. Independent agents contract with multiple carriers, keep their own contracts, and typically earn higher commissions in exchange for operating more independently.
Are there part-time life insurance sales jobs?
Yes — especially in final expense and term life telesales. Many 1099 positions allow agents to set their own hours. Some agencies also have formal part-time tracks. Tell us your schedule preference when you apply.
What does a life insurance sales career progression look like?
Most agents start as producers, then progress to senior producer, team lead, or agency ownership depending on the company structure. Some agents who excel at recruiting build their own downlines through an IMO arrangement, eventually earning overrides in addition to their personal production.
